Our History
The Table & Chair Co. has been a cornerstone of South Australia's hospitality furniture industry since 1986, earning a reputation for innovative, high-quality products that meet the evolving needs of restaurants, cafes, and hotels.
Pioneering the concept of Alfresco Dining in Adelaide, The Table & Chair Co. was the first to bolt tables to the pavement, establishing a strong foothold in the market. As South Australia embraced the introduction of gaming machines, the company responded by designing and supplying over 7,000 gaming stools, further cementing its position as an industry leader.
Our dedication to exceptional service and customer support has fuelled our growth over the years. In 2001, we moved to our larger facility on Richmond Road, enabling us to showcase an expansive range of products. In 2024, we relocated to Netley, where we continue to refine our operations, now including in-house manufacturing of tabletops to enhance production efficiency and quality control. With over 38 years in the industry, we have successfully completed 100-room hotel fit outs and numerous licensed venue renovations, blending classic and modern design styles to bring our customers’ visions to life. We are proud to have served over 10,000 customers, with approximately 65% of our annual business coming from repeat clients.
As a proudly South Australian owned and operated business, we source our furniture from trusted manufacturers in Italy, China, Vietnam, and Malaysia, while continuing to support local production. Our commitment to quality, innovation, and service remains at the heart of everything we do, as we continue to transform our customers' concepts into reality.
